This plant comes from a crossing of Willow Creek and a leucophylla [(psittacina x rubra) x leucophylla] x leucophylla. S. x Kilimanjaro is slightly shorter than Leucophylla and is wider in the hood by the same margin. It is a vigorous grower and rigidly upright habit. The densely divided rhizomes produce an abundance of pitchers that for me, become beautifully mottled with pink in the fall. One admirer called it a “leuco on steroids."
