S. x Nadine – is named for my deceased mother in law, Nadine Bassett. The strong red and white contrast makes this cultivar stand out. A lost label makes an exact geneologe impossible but I would bet on some combination of purpurea, leucophylla and rubra. Although, early pitchers can be lax, later ones are upright and a nice clump puts on a great show in the fall. A fast grower and good clumper as well.
