S. x Redman is one of the first two Sarracenias that I ever acquired. This Sarracenia was sold and most likely collected by the proprietor of the Bromeliad Tree Nursery, better known as “The Orchid Thief”. The coloring of the foliage, the flower and the pubescence of the trap suggests an intermingling of S. purpurpea rosea and S. flava red tube. It is a beauty and a founding member of my breeding efforts.
